1 Identify your stressors

The first step to cope with stress and burnout is to identify what triggers your negative emotions and reactions. Stressors can be external, such as market conditions, client demands, or regulatory changes, or internal, such as your beliefs, attitudes, or habits. Once you know your stressors, you can prioritize them, avoid or minimize them, or change your response to them.

I definitely agree… this can be an extreme measurable, but understanding that every opportunity is not automatic and continuous persistence can beat a resistance (assuming your offerings are exceptional) can really help with the emotional fatigue that can occur. Also…don’t be afraid to pier down, reset and start over.

2 Manage your time and energy

The second step to cope with stress and burnout is to manage your time and energy wisely. You can do this by setting realistic and specific goals, planning and scheduling your tasks, delegating or outsourcing what you can, and saying no to unnecessary or low-value activities. You can also optimize your energy by taking regular breaks, eating well, sleeping enough, and exercising regularly.
